PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONPeru is a growing tourism destination. Come along on this two week journey into the heart or Peru. Hike to and explore Machu Picchu, a world heritage site and icon. Learn about the balance of managing tourism and resource conservation at this unique world renown landmark. Stay three days at an ecolodge and learn about the Amazon and tourism. Immerse yourself in the culture as you spend three days in a small local community.
LOCATION DESCRIPTIONPeru South America. We will travel from the depth of the Amazon, to the highlands of Peru. We explore the Sacred Valley, Macchu Picchu and world renown cities such as Cuzco and Lima
HOUSINGStudents will stay in an ecolodge, local guest houses, hotels.
COURSESHFT 5957 Hospitality Study Abroad
This program will have online pre and post trip assignments on the blackboard site.
COSTThe estimated program fee of $2700 includes all meals, airfare, on-site transportation and program-related activities as well as the $175 mandatory study abroad fee. Also included is the mandatory international health insurance.
Program costs do not include FIU course instructional fees ($205.57 per undergraduate credit, $455.64 per graduate credit).
